My husband began having trouble with his straight truck in the area of this company on a Friday evening. He was able to drive the truck to Certified Fleet in Sarasota Fl. He was told that the truck would be up and ready in a couple of hours. The issue he was told was a valve Andy it would be @ $850 to fix. He agreed just so he could get back rolling and head back home. After replacing the valve, my husband rode with the mechanic to test drive the truck. The truck began shaking worse than it was prior to bringing it in. Ok, they then notified my husband it would take longer to fix. He left to catch a flight home in hopes hearing the truck is fixed Monday. We received emails back to back stating the truck problem was found, but the fees began going up quickly,each call or email. By the time we gave up, our bill was $5260. Yes, they made us pay every penny for their guess work that they claimed was a true diagnostic. These people play the guessing game and prey on those in need of service, especially those out of town. They wanted us to pay $8300 to keep going, but we refused and where they stopped at was roughly $5600 so they thought dropping it to $5200 was a big help....no! They shouldn’t have charged for the valve and other maintenance that they claimed was gonna fix the problem. Never ever pay for guess work! They lie and over charge. We have a history of dealing with honest mechanics and those that do not charge for what’s not fixed. Horrible just horrible!!!!
