Update by user Sep 04, 2020 No response as yet. Check came to cover over-charge from Tranny shop, nothing from Pheiffer. Original review posted by user Aug 05, 2020 The transmission went out in my truck 200 miles (321.87 km) from home. I found a local tranny shop which recommended Pfeiffer's to handle the removal and installation. Even though I phoned ahead to be certain the work was done, it was not, Ended-up having to rent a motel in town and miss two days of work. I was charged $400 more than the already too high estimate I was given. (I had previously pulled this tranny myself in 20 minutes lying on my back in a gravel driveway.) 10 miles down the road from Pheiffer's, the tranny slipped. It was more than a quart low, The drive train was improperly reinstalled and so the truck now violently vibrates at speeds over 60 mph. The linkage us so screwed-up that it slips into reverse when in park. Unnecessary tranny cooler lines were put in and zip-tied directly to the frame a-rubbing away. All through the repair process the owner was rude and uncommunicative. Over-charged and out of patience! User's recommendation: Don't trust Pheiffer's.
