Outsourced customer service?
If this company was smaller and had their own customer service (I believe they outsource it) they'd care about what happens when you call. I had a return to make, but wasn't given a sales slip in the box, and after 3 days of the online return page giving error messages, I called. Spoke to an indifferent person who said she'd send me a link. B/c that portion of their site didn't work, I wanted to make sure when I was on the phone with her that the link actually worked. My computer, however, identified malware in the link and wouldn't open it. I told her that and she said, oh we send these out all the time, I don't think there will be a problem. Idiotic. Anyone whose ever had their computers go down because of malware knows what an expensive headache that is. So I asked if there were Merrell stores in a specific urban area. She took a min then said, no there are no stores in your zip code. I repeated, no I know there aren't that's why I asked specifically for this one city. She about hung up on me. When I looked at the email she sent, it said a company (not Merrell) and when I looked that up, it seems it's a company that does outsourced customer service. Not my kind of company. No more Merrell.
