Regretting spending money on this SCAM of a product. Return recepticle is supposed to give you a receipt for the empty container you return - it doesn’t, ever. I got through the check-out line, paid for the refilled container, then on the way out discovered they were completely out. It was impossible to tell from far away whether the containers were all empty so I went back to the cashier to see if they had more but was instructed to go to see customer service. Ugh another line?! Hey Walmart- waiting in your customer service line is right up there with a day at the DMV. As my groceries warmed up to room temperature, I finally got to the associate who refunded my money but not my time and sanity. Apparently, since Walmart outsources this service to Primo they can throw their hands up when a shopper has a bad experience and leave the problem in the customer’s lap since it’s not their problem. Brilliant Primo! I wonder how many people paid the “deposit” only to find out later that it’s non-refundable. And since there’s no opting out- you can’t ask for your money back when they don’t stock enough.Clever!! The customer either gets back into line to buy some other brand of water or makes a seperate stop at a different store. Either way they’re likely to forget the “deposit” when they don’t have a receipt for the bottle they no longer have for the water that wasn’t available. Free money for Primo but for the consumer it’s just a SCAM! Modus operendi- If we frustrate the customer enough and we can just keep their deposit when they’re forced to find an alternative!
