Ordering stinks

I ordered a sweater for an event, and made sure at the time of ordering that I would receive it in time. I was told I could, but would have to pay for premium shipping, which I did. When I called to double check to make sure the order had shipped, I was told it would ship a month later, 3 weeks after the event. Basically I was told too bad, and now I'm out $20+ for shipping on an item I can't get in time to use. Apparently they will tell you anything to get you to place the order but then change it after you place it. Customer service stinks and is not very helpful. Must have this problem a lot. I will not be doing business with this retail establishment in the future and will be sure to pass this on to all my friends both in person and on social media. I would rate them 1 (I'd rate them less if it was an option).
