Ordered Seven Days Prior and Avasflowers Still Did Not Delilver!

To say my recent experience with Avasflowers was disappointing is truly the understatement. I have utilized the services of so many florists in the past and not to be melodramatic, I have to say that the service provided by this company rates as the very worst. I placed an order on 1/22/2021 to have a Croton Petra Planter delivered on 1/29/2021. Thinking seven days would be ample time for the florist, this turned out not to be so. I was actually very impressed when I received an order date confirmation on the same day. Therefore, I had a comfort level they would deliver as ordered. However, on the day before, I grew ambivalent since I had not heard anything since so I followed up...just to check on my order. To my dismay, it took several phone calls to get a confirming status report. My phone calls continued onto the next day...DELIVERY DAY. After checking with the online customer support, all I got was an array of "no information yet from the decorator/florist." Well...I thought Avasflowers was the florist. (More on this later.) My trying to get information on this delivery rendered no sufficient details that eased my apprehension. They had communicated with the confirmation on 1/22 that my order would deliver by 7PM. By midday, I was still getting customer service hanging up on me OR giving false statements OR not really knowing what the status was OR the customer service line still saying no detail yet from the decorator/florist. By 2pm I made other arrangements with another florist who delivered flowers and "saved the day." No communication from Avasflowers. The next day I followed up with Avasflowers who had no plausible answer as to why my order was not fulfilled. One customer service agent said Avasflowers failed to communicate the delivery address and therefore the florist did not know where to deliver. I was assured my order would be delivered since they immediately communicated the address. Another customer service agent called to tell me the decorator/florist was out of Croton Petra Planter and did I want them to send a peace lily or a dish garden. Another customer service agent told me they would give me a $50 discount on the new order. Quite believable, right?? This same agent told me later that I would receive a $20 discount...not $50. He either forgot what he had said earlier or believed I confused the sound of $20 vs. $50. Well, you get the idea of my experience. I could write so much more but it would be the same outcome. Poor service. The promise of a new order being delivered the day after the requested delivery turned into a delivery of four days later. Needless to say the dish garden was not equal in value to the Croton Petra Planter I ordered. Not to mention it was not communicated earlier that the florist was out of this particular planter. This leads me to the florist. This was a lesson learned on my behalf. I will now be more careful when I order from what I think is a local florist vs. a Web florist. Turns out that Avasflowers as they listed themselves among local florists was not local but headquartered in Newark, Delaware, not even close to my location. To make matters worse, they utilized a supplier from the opposite side of town as my intended recipient. I will now look for a local number listed for the florist. The alternate local florist delivered my "last minute" request. It's hard to believe that Avasflowers is in business but they will not be getting mine moving forward. User's recommendation: Do not recommend using Avas Flowers.
