Ordered @ 10 am for SAME DAY delivery item – Informed @ 5.30 pm it was not delivered!

Wanted to get something other than flowers delivered to my Mom for her Birthday. Ordered online at GiftTree about 10 am for a SAME DAY DELIVERY (I wanted the fruit fresh for her). At 10.30 am, GiftTree.com emailed a confirmation that the order was in process and scheduled for delivery today. At 5.30 pm that night, I saw an email sent by GiftTree.com a couple of hours earlier saying that the item they listed online as SAME DAY was actually NEXT DAY. When I called Customer Service after seeing the email, they first told me they emailed me at 11.05 am (WRONG), then they said they called me then (WRONG), then they offered to deliver it the next day (???). Other than a "Sorry", they offered a $ 20 credit for a future order - their delivery charge is $ 19.99. Seriously??? I am beyond mad. I ordered elsewhere immediately as I will NEVER deal with these IDIOTS again!
