Opaque Fees
1
I had to stop payment on a large check my contractor lost. The small print at Sunflower says an "appropriate fee" will be charged, but there's no disclosure of what the fee actually is. Turns out it's $36. No wonder they hide it. That's more than Wells Fargo charges. (Wells doesn't hide their fees.) The branch managers seem to have less authority than a typical restaurant hostess. User's recommendation: Don't use banks that hide their exorbitant fees.
