They charge 4 times more than other services and do equal or lower quality work. You can get a decent 2 hour cleaning for 100 bucks from Amazon. Merry Maids charged me 4 hours, 2 of which were NOT authorized and did a terrible job. There was dirt and grime left on the floor, grease on the stove, hair in the bathroom. Their customer service is not willing to do anything about it and simply said, "this is odd, I haven't had a complaint about (cleaner's name) in a long time" ... which means, he has had complaints.
