Not to put a hold on gift cards

I went to Sunoco on 1/4/20 at 2345 W Main Street, Tampa, FL and purchased $5.00 worth of gas, they got their $5.00 on 1/5/20 and still they put a $40.00 hold on my giftcard and my card was only $50., as of this day 1/7/20 the hold is still pending, never will I go to their gas station to purchase anything again from their location. Release the hold on my gift card now (PENDING - SUNOCO 049764**** - 111550**** - $40.00 ) gift card #516612****014130 escalated by customer service to another department, complaint ticket #507874 and $400.00 for pain and suffering, I was to used this card to purchase my mother medicine and its a good thing I checked the balance before I went to the pharmacy, as not to be embarrassed with no fund on the card, when in reality I have $40.00 that u are holding. This policy of yours is so ridiculous, especially after you have gotten your money from the purchase, what is your reasoning that you want to hold someone funds on a gift card for almost 5 days, I will never purchase anything at your company again, this is bad customer service
