Not honoring hotel’s reservation cancellation

I made a reservation with what I thought was the hotel Comfort Inn & Suites, Murrieta, online. It was not. It was reservationcounter.com. When I went to the hotel directly to talk about the reservation, they said they did not have a reservation for me. They indicated they had been having problems with both reservation counter.com and hotel beds.com. I spoke with the General Manager/District Manager. Because the email I received from reservationcounter.com said "each room is subject to the hotel's cancellation policy", the General Manager/District Manager issued a cancellation of the reservation. Reservationcounter.com refuses to honor this cancellation and is pursuing the charge of $2902.03 on my credit card. I have no "picture" as required below, but I have pdf files of the cancellation from the general manager/district manager.
