Not allowing cancellation or change in dates

1

Update by user Mar 14, 2020 The total lost is $3,987 Original review posted by user Mar 14, 2020 We were planning to travel to Nashville, TN March 25-29th and booked a house using Vbro through a company called Turnkey Vacation Rentals. Back in November we decided not to purchase the traveler's insurance as no one in the world would have guessed something like Coronavirus was going to happen. Now that it has and we are less then 2 weeks out we have been in constant contact with them asking for flexibility or the opportunity to receive a refund. However, all we have been met with is no, our policies have not changed in the cancellation. Currently their policies are under the 60 days there is no refund for the cancellation at all, no ifs, no ands, no buts about it. Understandable and again, y0 days ago this was not a concern amongst us for our trip. We were planning on going. Now with everything that is happening we have asked for updates or changes to be made to their cancellation policies given the circumstances and yet still just told "no. We are not changing them." Customer service representatives although timely to respond, arent the ones who make the decisions anyways. Now. I've received emails from companies I've used when booking vacations previously about how they are changing or altering or being at least flexible during this time with current bookings. But not a single thing from TurnKey Vacation Rentals. I guess besides our lesson to be sure we purchase the travel insurance is that TurnKey Vacation Rentals does NOT care if any of us have been exposed or would be carrying coronavirus (none of us are) and are happy to have us travel there, stay in their vacation rental and dont care for the safety of their visitors, their communities, their professional cleaning company employees that clean them or anyone we would come in contact with on our way there and home. Simply by not providing any flexibility or refund policy to make me or anyone we know use them again, they show that the money in their pocket is more important, instead of the health and safety of their visitors, homeowners and employees. Anyone else having issues with this? User's recommendation: Don't bother.
