I had to get a referral from my Dr. to my gynecologist. My doctor sent in a referral. Darnell medical calls me to make an appointment. I said I asked for my Dr. insert full name here. ( both my PCM and gynecologist have the same name, so I used first and last names) He said that is your primary care, not a gynecologist. I said that is my gynecologist that both have the same last name. He said we have the right to make the appointment, and we have openings, so we are not going to let have you go to an outside dr. He said well then you can pay for select. If I would have known I would have kept insurance through my work. They don't make me pay anything for it, and I can see my gynecologist. ( too late now open enrollment is over) I said so even though I'm not comfortable; there is nothing I can do. He said well what are you going to do. I said I guess I won't be going to the gynecologist. He said ok then bye.
