Not able to change form of payment?

I ordered a headset and there was a problem processing due to my Paypal payment. I called customer service to change my form of payment to credit card since they were having an issue with Paypal. In order to do this, they would need to cancel my current order and I would have to re-order the same item. This is a problem because the item was no longer in stock. I asked them to switch the payment on my current order, since the order was still open, but this was not possible either. I spent hours on the phone attempting to resolve this issue to no avail and each customer service agent blamed ME for payment problem. The customer service team kept switching me to different departments, basically restarting the process over like clock-work, with never any solution. Finally, I gave up on purchasing the item, but wanted to file a complaint to customer service. Vishal (employee id 887187) admitted to me that the problem had to do with the Dell order design, and that if you purchase on Paypal, they can't switch to a different form of payment. I then pleaded that if it is a problem with Dell's design, can we figure out a way to get a different headset at a similar price, since I needed this for work as soon as possible. Instead, he tried to switch me to processing department. I kept pleading that I no longer want this order, but since it was a design flaw, maybe we can figure out a different solution. Vishal was very rude and would not discuss anything further, other than repeating that I will need to talk to the processing department. Overall, dealing with Dell's customer service was a headache and not worth my trouble. They did not listen to the customer and basically repeated rhetorical responses. Even worse, when I finally spoke to the supervisor, Vishal, he was the most rude of them all. I make hundreds of online ecommerce transactions per year, and if there is ever a problem with payment, it is a quick fix. Amazon handles these problems within minutes, as for Dell, nothing resolved after 3+ hours of discussion. User's recommendation: Please avoid purchasing on Dell, especially larger purchases because you might never find a resolution.
