North Lincoln community Hospital
I had to spend a short time in the hospital not long ago. The nurses and staff were fantastic. They did a fantastic job of caring for patients even with the problems they were facing in the hospital. I'm a very good listener I've been a manager for years now I'm retired but I couldn't help but hear some of the complaints that the nurses had. It seemed that they had just changed management or had some kind of an upper management shakeup. They seem to have one major fear they were totally afraid of losing their jobs for any random reason that management could find. It seemed that any nurse who'd been there for any length of time and had moved up in pay grade and seniority were being targeted. And they were being removed at the slightest whim of management. From a money point of view this makes total sense in that a new grad novice nurse is much cheaper. This is great strategy if you're running a hamburger joint where anybody off the street can do it decent job. A hospital is not the place for this kind of strategy. I would recommend that any nurse contemplating going to work for this firm changes their mind and avoids them like the plague. If this is what healthcare is coming to heaven help America. But I stayed again this care that was given was fantastic the nursing staff was totally fantastic. I really felt sorry for them having to work under these conditions.
