It is impossible to contact Canon. There is NO on-line chat and the wait to speak to a representative has been over an hour. Frankly my time is worth more than the cost of the product. I will NEVER buy one of their products again. Award winning service? Awarded by whom? User's recommendation: Do not buy their printers.
