No warranty within a year of purchase

Called the warranty department, was told that according to the IMEI the phone was purchased over a year, even though it was bought less than 12 months, 10 months actually. Don't know where they got this lie from, I guess, they know after 6 months most people don't know where is their receipt. They played and won, because I can't find the receipt.
