Why do credit card companies always side with vendors? If you purchase items or services and do not receive what you were charged and then dispute the charge with your credit card company, the credit card company will always side with the vendors. Take for instance, card holder takes her animal to a veterinarian who provides medicine with the customer’s understanding that it is not a steroid, and is told to come back in two weeks. Then the customer learns that the medicine is a steroid, which s/he is adamantly against. Then the veterinarian refuses to see the animal again, forcing the card holder to start over again with another veterinarian. The card holder chooses to dispute parts of the bill such as the false medicine and care fee. Although the card holder outlines the services and deceit, all credit card companies will side with the service provider. OR, card holder is told by a dentist that they will provide a certain service and does not fulfill that service. Again, all a company has to do is write a rebuttal and the card holder is left with no recourse. The card holder may have a gold- or platinum-rating, but as soon as the vendor contacts the credit card company, the card holder’s dispute will not be honored. Some card holders decide to stop using the credit cards and do not pay the disputed fee and thus their credit score drops. There is no system to protect card holders from fascist business practices on the part of service providers and credit card companies.
