No customer service and poor product

I own a Beretta ARX 100, The takedown plate has a design flaw and broke. I contacted Beretta who stated its out of warranty and refused service and told me to go somewhere else (Brownells). This is alarming, they sell a weapon with a defect and don't stand behind their products. User's recommendation: Do not buy Beretta, after a year of owning they refuse service.
