No compassion, uncomfortable, wait times

1

I came into the ER on 12th ave. in Nampa about 10:30 on a sunday night with severe abdominal pain, fever, and back aches. i could hardly stand or hold a pen and the receptionist had me fill out some paperwork...i could hardly write legible. She did not show any compassion for my situation at all. I filled it out, gave my drivers license and insurance card, 10 min later i went back with a nurse. he took me to the triage room and checked my BP and weight and i explained my symptoms. He said a dr will be with me soon. 30 min later, i asked to have the bed moved down so i could try to lay on my stomach...he said i will once i get done with another patient. another 30 minutes and still nothing, i was able to figure out how to do it on my own. I asked for a blanket as it was freezing and there was nothing on the bed, just the sheet to lay on. He said sure, i will get you one. another 30 minutes later, still no blanket, i'm just in pain shivering in the dark room. i pressed the nurse button and asked for a blanked, finally got one. another hour later, finally had an ultrasound that showed gall stones and infected gallbladder. finally got morphine after 3 hours of excrutiating pain, freezing my but off and not one word of compassion or caring from any nurse. The doc came in and said i need surgery first thing in the morning so they transferred me to the garrity hospital. The staff was night and day different. The garrity staff was amazing, i will be avoiding the 12th ave ER as it was way to long to be in pain without care. Also, when i went in, there was not one other care in the ER parking lot, no one was in the waiting room but they said they were BUSY and had to call in another doctor that would be seeing me. It was horrific. I have been to the ER many times in my life and this was by far the worse experience. It would have been better for me to get an UBER to a farther away ER as i could barely drive to the one 3 blocks from my house. Now for billing...i gave the ER my insurance info and there was no problem...i get a call from the hospital the next week asking if i have insurance, i again gave all my insurance information. Then less than a week later, i get a bill that says i don't have insurance and 16k is due in 30 days. i tried to call and received a message that they cannot take my call and to leave a message. I left a message and have still not received a phone call 2 days later.
