NFM Mortgage will waste your time and const you money
1
After 3 months of attempting to refinance my mortgage with NFM, a process which should have taken no more than 4 weeks, I have finally gone elsewhere to start over. They have no idea what they are doing, and I can say that with confidence, having been a real estate paralegal for 6 years. Each week they requested new documents that they should have known they needed at the start. What finally made me run was when they refused to believe I inherited money despite reviewing both my parents' Wills and the Trust their home was held in. Because the beneficiaries were "their children equally" and not each of us named individually, they insisted that my bother the executor was the sole beneficiary and that he must have given me the money. As a paralegal I can tell you that people often do not individually name their children in their wills for various reasons. Courts of law accept this. NFM mortgage does not. This was the final straw and I have taken my business to my local bank who assure my the process withal take two weeks. Because of the delay I had to pay two months considerably higher mortgage that had PMI which my new mortgage will not. They cost me money and they will cost you money too.
