Took over 3 months just to get the newborn photoshoot from the photographer Jennifer Mooney Reed. She was a no show at our house on 2 occasions. She insisted that the proofs be reviewed in person rather than online. She also made up ridiculous lies about her no shows. I know they were lies because one occasion when I tried to callto find out why she wasn't at my house for the meeting, an hour later via text she said she was at the hospital for a serious "issue". But 5 minutes after my call to her I got butt redial from her number and could hear her children screaming and playing in the background. 2nd time she was a no show she said she didn't remember setting up my appointment because when I called she was on Ambien. It took 6 weeks before we could get a hold of her just to set up a time for this proofing meeting. She never answered her phone. Multiple times tried to Facebook message her and email her. She had a prop she was supposed to Photoshop in for us (a family heirloom). I left it with her to Photoshop. It was never done and it took about 5 weeks to get that returned. I had to go over there to retrieve it. I absolutely do not trust her to do any future work for me. The point of a newborn session is for birthing announcements. It was pointless for me to send them out since my baby was over the age of 3 months by the time I received my photos. I even tried to get her to email me just 1(!) photo so I could at least send something out as an announcement. I'm really disappointed. After my experience having to hound her down for our photos (which by the way was $350 for that package) I would not give her another shot. She ruined my opportunity as a mom where I could announce to the world my new, precious baby.
