NEVER USE CROSS COUNTRY MORTGAGE

1

I was closing on my home July 31st, 2019. I followed everything my loan officer told me to do. He suggested my future fathe-in-law wire the entire downpayment to the title co. Instead of myself, my boyfriend, and father-in-law all wiring money. He said it was the easiest way, since father-in-law has the bigger bank account. 2 days before closing, loan officer informed me that 5% had to come from me. (shouldn'the have known that?) I was about $600 short in my account, so he advised me to deposit money asasp. He said to make it an odd amount, so it would not look obvious. I told him all my money was in my account, so he suggested that my boyfriend or my future fsther-in-law deposit that unusual amount. My FIL transferred money the next day. On closing day, I was told to go to the title co...they were expecting the closing packet from the loan officer. Meanwhile, the loan officer was still asking me for information. The closing packet never came so closing was extended till the next day. (3 closings were in jeopardy). The next day came, still no closing packet. Closing was again, extended till the following day, Aug 2nd. On Aug 2nd, 4:00 pm, as I was on way to bank to wire my 5%, then over to title company. The loan officer called to inform me that none of my FIL's money was acceptable. Even though he had wired the money to the title company on July 29th. exactly how my loan officer instructed. The 3 home loans involved expired at midnight. We all subsequently lost the money we had put in. Myself, the other 2 families, and 3 listing agents lost their commissions. When i attempted to call Cross Country's customer service, HQ's, and complaints dept. I never received any response. I left probably 15 messages in total. Due to the complete negligence of the loan officer at Cross Country Mortgage, Anthony Soss, I am out $4000. I DEMAND MY MONEY BACK!! Now it has come to my attention that Anthony Soss has been putting pressure on his family (his grandmother) who is the girlfriend of my future FIL, and she has been putting pressure on my FIL, to put pressure on me, to drop my complaint. Is that even legal? It certainly is not professional! Anthony, do the right thing...reimburse the money you caused me to lose. Reimburse ALL the people your actions screwed over. You're behavior throughout has been deplorable. You want me to drop my complaint? Well, I want my money back immediately!! Today is Aug 19th. I want a certified check for $4000 by Aug 29th. If I have to sue you, I have YOUR words, and YOUR instructions, several that seem downright shady to me and to everyone who knows my story. Furthermore, stop crying to your gramma...it's embarrassing. Your are causing family strife with your continued actions. You probably should lose your job, not only from your negligence, but also for your behavior after the collapse of the loans.
