When we first spoke to an agent 13 months ago we were told to "pack the two 16 foot unit from the floor to the ceiling." Recently we sold our home after this timeframe and only then were we told by another agent they would have picked up and stored the two unit at their facility for no charge before a move. This was dispelled by another agent that a storage charge would be added. Then my wife called since the "floor to the ceiling" rule wasn't followed on pick-up and we were told our unit weighted 10,000lbs. When one is told one practice of "floor to ceiling" it makes you question how does one know of how much a unit would weigh. My wife was told you should have weighted every box??? This is absurd! Our settlement date is quickly approaching and we will have a unit locked into another owners property or move ourselves 4000lbs into another pack-rat. Not.... we have Allied to assist with moving additional furnishings of our large home and will be asking how much the cost would be to get the items out of the "rat" and save them a move of the heavier one.... Wish I had some Coumadin/Warfarin right now to feed the RATS!
