MY NEST THERMOSTAT HAS WI-FI ISSUES. I REQUESTED A REPLACEMENT 3 MONTHS AGO. RECEIVED THE LINK TO HOLD THE FUNDS ON MY CREDIT CARD, AND NEVER RECEIVED THE REPLACEMENT. MY FUNDS WERE TIED UP FOR AT LEAST TWO WEEKS BEFORE THEY WERE RELEASED. SO I CONTACTED THEM AGAIN TODAY WITH THE SAME ISSUE, AND WAS INFORMED THEY DID NOT PROCESS THE LINK THAT ALLOWS THEM TO HOLD FUNDS ON MY CARD. I TOLD THE REP THEY PREVIOUSLY HELD HE FUNDS AND I DO NOT RECEIVE THE NEW UNIT. THEY STILL REQUESTED TO PLACE A HOLD OF $249.00 ON MY CREDIT CARD IN ORDER TO RECEIVE A REPLACEMENT. IF NOT, I NEED TO SEND THEM THE DEFECTIVE UNIT AND THEY WILL SEND OUT THE NEW DEVICE. HOWEVER, I WILL BE WITHOUT HEAT FOR AT LEAST 14 DAYS FOR ME TO SEND THE BAD UNIT TO THEM, WAIT TO RECEIVE THE NEW UNIT, THEN WAIT FOR NEST TO RELEASE MY HOLD ON THE CREDIT CARD. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE! ESPECIALLY DURING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC! I CANNOT AFFORD TO HAVE ANY FUNDS HELD AT THIS TIME DUE TO A LOSS OF INCOME! TO WORK WITH THEIR CUSTOMERS DURING THESE CHALLENGING TIME, THEY SHOULD TAKE BANKING INFORMATION AS A SECURE SOURCE INSTEAD OF HOLDING A PERSONS FUNDS THAT THEY MAY NEED TO SURVIVE ON. WITH A CHECKING ACCOUNT, IF SOMEONE DECIDES TO NOT RETURN THE NEST, THEY WOULD BE ABLE TO FORCE THE DEBT FROM THAT SOURCE TO ENSURE THEY ARE NOT LEFT HOLDING THE BAG. MANY COMPANIES DEBT ACCOUNTS FOR FUNDS WHEN THEY ARE IN A AGREEMENT TO DO SO. I EXPLAINED TO THE REP I HAVE GONE THROUGH THIS PROCEDURE PREVIOUSLY AND DO NOT WISH TO ENTERTAIN IT AGAIN. NEST ONLY WANTS YOUR MONEY! THAT'S WHAT'S IMPORTANT TO THEM! CUSTOMER SERVICE IS NON-EXISTENT! I SAY DO NOT PURCHASE ANY PRODUCTS RELATED TO THE GOOGLE MONIKER, EVER! User's recommendation: STAY AWAY FROM GOOGLE!!!!!! ESPECIALLY THE NEST PRODUCT!!!!!!
