I just purchased 3 Standard filters for my Brita Grand Pitcher, thinking they filter out lead. We were told in my building, their may be traces of lead in the water. I have been using Standard this whole time, 1 year, and I learned today from customer service that only the Long Lasting filters will filter out lead. I tried to get this information from Brita once before and never got the the correct info, therefore continually buying Standard. I just bought 3 more Standard filters again. User's recommendation: Do your research, What filters filter out what.
