Needed help to get an item replated

I purchased a set of filigree earrings and a necklace of the same design for my daughter-in-law as a Christmas gift 2 years ago. She loved it!!! Unfortunately, the metal was thinly plated with silver and has worn to show the copper underneath. I called "customer service" and she wanted a picture of the items and proof of purchase. While I am sure I purchased on-line because there is no store in my town, I don't know if I could locate the proof of purchase. She informed me that there was only a 1-year warranty (necklace probably wore out within one year, but my DIL did not tell me and I only noticed it recently) OR they could offer me a 15% discount on MORE of their poorly made product. Those were her only 2 options. They did not even have suggestions for where I might get the item re-plated - I know there are services that do that, but now I will have to go through the hassle of finding it myself. NO customer service whatsoever. Very embarrassed I gave such a poor quality product, very sad I spent over $100 for a gift that turned out to be worthless. Kendra Scott should be ashamed instead of getting on Shark Tank and bragging about how she built this great business. Shame, Shame, Shame. User's recommendation: Don't buy the promo items. Don't buy anything that is not solid metal.
