My reservation code does not work – has too many digits!!

Made a reservation back in April......it gave me a receipt with a reservation code that is 7 digits long. Now in July - in order to check in online, they need a 6 digit number....reservation cannot be located. I may have to drive to the airport to make sure I have a reservation. The wait time on the phone is stating "at least 90 minutes".
