My Belks card was declined

My card was declined not once but twice as I tried to purchase some items.in the store on Atlantic Blvd. in Jacksonville Fla. I was very dissatisfied and embarrassed to say the least. I paid for the items in cash. I came home and called Customer Service just to find out that Belk's cancelled out customers cards and reissued new ones without informing anyone. I was told that I would receive the card in a few days. I have never experience this before. As I said not only was I dissatisfied but embarrassed to think that I had done something on my behalf that the card declined. This makes me feel very uncomfortable about using the new card. I am glad that I did not have to put the items back. User's recommendation: Make sure you are prepared to have a back up card in case your card is declined .
