I requested a modification on my current home mortgage with Wells Fargo since rates were extremely low. I have 14 years left on my mortgage with a 5.25% rate. The idiots over at Wells Fargo told me the modification the underwriters came back with was FORTY(40) YEARS with the same interest rate and that would lower my payment by $100. Why in the *** would I add 25 more years to a mortgage that I would pay off in 14 years?!?!! And why not offer me a lower rate!? I plan to refinance with another lender. User's recommendation: Do not finance your home through Well Fargo!
