I had a similar experience. I paid for extended warranties on each of my stackable washer and dryer -- by LG. Both are not working correctly. Three trips by technicians and shipments of parts later, they still don't work properly. Now, instead of replacing the machines per the warranty, the local store, HD protection, Assurant, Nana, and several local vendors have shuttled me in circles referring me to one another. The hold up is that they will not unstack the machines and will not pay for an extra tech to help unstack. Nowhere in my plans does it indicate that I have to hire my own help to help them honor their promises. It have been since May and no resolution. FRAUD. User's recommendation: Do not bother purchasing protection plans.
