misleading/no inventory

1

7/15/15 I placed an order with Delta Closeouts for a Nikon p600. 2 days later I receive calls asking for me to call them due to credit card info. He tells me the camera is in his hand and it will be delivered on Mon 7/20/15. It never came so I called them just to be told it was back ordered. WHAT???? It was a bday gift. I cancelled the order and ordered from a different company (BigTimeCamera). 7/20/15 - I call BTC to confirm they have a p600 available and the fella said "many". So I get off the phone and I place the order online. I never receive a confirmation page after I submit my card information, so I send an email asking for one. I receive a confirmation email with no date of delivery, etc. Also, I had received emails from both Delta Closeouts and BigTimeCamera using same exact letter as well as the letters author's name "Jerry". So I call BTC and ask for Jerry. I also ask him if Delta and BTC are the same company and he says "NO". I find it hard to believe. Then I ask him about my order and he says that it was back ordered. That someone bough ALL the cameras in the 10 minutes it took me to place the order. I'm highly concerned that this is some type of identity racket or credit card theft. I do not trust these companies and don't want anyone else caught up in a mess like this.
