I worked for the company for less than a week. The sales manager was bragging about how great I would be on his team and I would because I have been in real estate and loan sales for years, but wanted a supplementary income job until I take the real estate and mortgage loan origination test to be able to sell real estate mortgages again. I had never used Salesforce, Phone Burner, and Ring Central plus Screen Meter to login my time and I was having some issues with editing Salesforce. The recruiter told me to get Windows 10, add more RAM and get a new mouse for my computer and expected it to be done in one day....I told him I couldn't do that and would have the computer upgraded next week...but I understood they couldn't hold the job open since they were so desperate to get appointments set. I sent them my time sheet and received 1/4 of what is due. I am giving them an opportunity to pay me for the 14 hours, the appointment and the 10 emails I logged in or I report the company to the California Department of Labor for Misclassification of Employees vs Contractors...we were micromanaged on the dialer, calls recorded, had to adhere to the script verbatim and the calls were monitored. Independent contractors select their fee, get the work completed on their own schedule by a deadline, are not micromanaged and this company is violating all the rules for misclassification. I'll report it to the IRS if they don't fulfill their obligation to pay me the entire amount I am entitled to receive. After all, I had two other job opportunities but decided to take this one because I could work from 6am-12noon and be finished whereas the other two were more time-consuming.
