Mercedes not taking ownership for mistakes made

While driving home in rain in my C250 the vechile stalled in a corner where the water rapidly increased where it took me some time to push the vechile to side off road. The following morning contacted mercedes call centre and explained situation whom they sent technician whom after explaining he insisted on jump starting the motor.I explained it was not battery as the car was driving until I hit the water. The technician cranked the motor and even connected a battery booster until there was smells coming from the motor. After this ,tow away vechile collected vechile and a day later I was contacted that the vechile would be a total right off. I have requested Mercedes to comment on there technician procedure and actions but have not recieved any comment to date.
