Me estafaron con promesas falsas y me cobraron $676 dolares por nada y no quede ni una noche.

Months in advance I called the reservation line of Vidanta of Mayan Palace to make a reservation for me as an owner of my time share. I was informed that I first needed to pay for the year's maintenance fee of $676.79 which I did pay in order to make the reservation a month in advance for my one week stay at Mayan Palace in the Marina of Puerto Vallarta. When I arrived on my agreed upon reserved week starting Nov 13, 2020, I found the hotel was closed and was told by the guard I could not stay there. Two people representing Vidanta Berenice Bautista and Basilio Frias , came out of the building and informed me that they could take me to the grand Mayan in the next state. When I told them that I didn't want to go there because it is too far from Puerto Vallarta where my friends were scheduled to meet me, they said it would be only for an "update on new things that are offered for owners like myself". When I said I didn't have time for that, they offered me a free round trip ticket back to Puerto Vallarta for two being I just spent that money getting there for nothing. Plus a one week stay at the Grand Mayan and a reimbursement of my maintenance fee. All that with no obligation to pay for any upgrade or other costs if I just attended a ONE HOUR presentation of new features offered by Vidanta. They put it in writing for me, and said they could arrange for me to be picked up the following morning and taken to the Grand Mayan for a free breakfast. The next morning two men came to my newly acquired hotel and once again handed me in writing the above mentioned offer with NO obligaton to purchase anything. When I arrived at the Grand Mayan I was introduced to various Promotors such as Francisco Alejandro Villa and Jaime Lozano. As I sat down at the breakfast table in the area exclusively reserved for sales promotions, I was once again given in writing the promises of a one week stay at the Grand Mayan, 2 round trip tickets from my town in the USA to Puerto Vallarta, and the reimbursement of my maintenance fee for the reservation that I never received. The "one hour of presentation" of the" irresistible features" of the upgraded membership turned into 5 and 1/2 hours of arm twisting reasons why I need to pay an additional $20,000 from my credit card in order to take advantage of the offers! On several occasions during the long winded talk I told the promotor that I had to leave and that they also offered me a free taxi back to my hotel. But I was ignored and a signal that if they didn't get a large sum of additional money I could not safely leave the facility. Finally after asking the location of the rest rooms, I took a right turn to the elevators and made a dash for the street and flagged down a taxi back to safety. At this point, in order for me to modify my negative feelings about Vidanta, they would have to make good on their promised "free offers". Hence, I will continue with my story and hope others will be better informed about the dangers of the Vidanta experience and also share with me their negative experiences. Perhaps a class action law suit is in order.. User's recommendation: Don't get involved with Vidanta or the Mayan Palace. It is not a good investment .
