On May 5, 2020, I purchased a Maytag Washer and Dryer from Grand Appliance in Waukegan, IL. They were both delivered and installed on May 12, 2020. On March 4, 2021, the dryer completely stopped working, so I contacted Grand Appliance to have a repair man come. The earliest possibility was for a service call on March 9. He discovered that the problem was the control panel and needed certain parts in order to fix it. Since that date, I have contacted Maytag Consumers, to no avail. Grand Appliance has been in contact with Whirlpool, who now owns Maytag, to get the part or to replace the dryer. My husband has been in constant contact with Whirlpool and Grand Appliance for a resolution. Whirlpool has made the decision that they would not replace the dryer and that we would have to wait for the repair part, which seems to be unavailable at this time, with no date of when it would be available, but could be sometime in the summer. Both my husband and I are in our late 70's, so it has become a real burden for us to do our clothes drying. Thank you, Bonnie Caldwell
