I delivered my baby 3/16/2018 at the new virtua and had a very disappointed miserable stay from Friday to Sunday!! I hated every bit of it and wish I delivered at Cooper like my first child which was great! First in labor and delivery when I got my epidural the tech who gave it could not find the right spot so I was being picked like a experiment with no care. Then when it was time for me to push I was ask to hold it because they were low on staff, really!!! Then when I had my baby and moved the room I had looked unsanituzed and just dirty. Then from that moment on the nurses kept coming in my room none stop talking fast about shots and everything I don't remember because I just gave birth and have not slept. I am breastfeeding in which normally a lactating nurse comes in to see if I have questions or need help. Nope no one came nor did they asked. Then when I did not want my baby washed I asked if they have something for her dry skin after I wipe down I was told rudely by Barb (very mean nurse and rude) we dint use lotion on babies without any help to soothe my baby skin. So by day to go home my baby skin was bleeding from the dryness. It was not until the photo ladies search and gave me Vaseline to apply and instant my baby was so relief. Also our child seat was never checked for safety and the nurse I had before discharge did not sum up nothing just asked if my legs are ok when we were half way down the hall. She did not assure baby was safe or anything. My baby was so traumatized by the handling of the lab staff and the nurse that it took me the night and still to reassure her mommy touch is general and only want to soothe her. I am beyond belief full of anger of what I just experienced!! Furious!!!! I will not recommend anyone here!! It's one thing to treat adults with rudeness but handling a newborn with no care or compassion is beyond sick!!!
