Once again I fell for the saving money spiel from Pentair. This is the 2nd one I've had and once again it failed to start up in the spring. $168 for a service call and diagnostics and their recommendation was to replace the flow sensor and the ignition module. That didnt work so after calling Pentair they now want to replace the brand new $355 motherboard. Since Pentair has the worse warranty in the business, it will cost me $523 with no guarantee it will work next spring. The average lifespan of a mastertemp 125 appears to be one year. User's recommendation: Dont buy any heater from Pentair.
