While at Tee Jayes on W. Broad St. in Columbus on Sunday, September 11, 2011, I witnessed a manager argue at and speak down to a server. She even told the Server to "Shut Up" at one point (in public sight and hearing). We have had this server many times over the last few years. She has always been friendly, extremely competent, and always smiling. This visit, however, we witnessed this server so frustrated and hurt she was crying and upset. Now, this server appears to be of a different ethnic background than caucasion. I have NEVER seen another person treated this poorly in front of customers. In fact, I believe this may have been racially fueled hatred. I don't believe the restaurant management hires anyone that is not caucasion if they can help it. I will continue to frequent this restaurant if only to watch the drama and report.
