King Soopers promoted a holiday bonus program where if you bought a certain amount of groceries, you could get either 30 or 50 percent off general merchandise during a three day period. No listing of what general merchandise meant and I looked on their website to find more information without success. Today I went to redeem my coupon and checked with customer service before I bought groceries. I learned that it does not include groceries of any kind. When I checked out, the receipt lists toys, apparel, bed, bath, housewares, kitchen appliances and holiday décor. Why the *** would I buy any of those things from a grocery store? This is bait and switch with a dollop of deceptive practices thrown in for good measure. I am so pissed off at this blatant attempt to get people to buy more instead of rewarding loyalty that I have decided to find another store at which to spend our money.
