Malfunctioning Dehumidifier.

Something continues to run when unit plugged in but turned off, with ongoing burning smell. Only stops when unit totally unplugged. Believe the unit was recalled, looking for remedy on ehat could be wrong and how to fix the problem. Cannot run unit now or leave it plugged in. User's recommendation: Check for recall first.
