magic jack prepaid minutes refund request

When I purchased prepaid minutes to use on my Magic Jack app, I was assured by the Customer Service Rep that I could use those minutes anytime independent of renewing my Magic Jack device. However, today when I tried to use those minutes to make a call I was told I was unable to use them (and technically lost the $64+ balance because my device renewal had expired). I requested then the balance on my account be refunded me or be used towards the renewal, so I could continue making calls. But was firmly denied. I have dealt with many companies but have never dealt with one so rigid in their attitude towards customers. Magic Jack has refused to refund my funds and have provided no accommodation to have access to it, as most would do with a credit. Again, I'm writing to request a granting of the said refund. It's the right customer service action. Anything less is unacceptable and will be seen by most, not only as terrible customer service but possibly worse-theft!
