Locked out of room.

I went down the hall to get ice and upon returning my key failed to work. I went down to the lobby and since I had no ID on my person I couldn’t use the kiosk to get a new key. I was told I had to wait in line with all the people who were checking in! After getting through that line, the desk person said they would send security up to open my room. Security arrived and none of his keys worked either. Are you kidding? So he apologized profusely and tried calling someone else. Of course he was ignored at first few attempts to get ahold of someone while we are standing outside my door. Finally someone answers and another security comes and is able to open door with her key. This is after calling 3 times and 2 trips to front desk to get a lamp. Not one bedside light available to read. If you like full room blazing full of overhead lights to read by then this might be the place for you. Not one hook in bathroom area anywhere to hang a robe or toiletry bag or anything. Everything has to go on the floor. Carpeting is disgusting as these rooms have not been renovated yet even though I requested a renovated room when booking. If this is how the Flamingo treats their paying guests I would definitely look elsewhere. I have traveled around the world and never dealt with issues that were easy to fix but hotel could not or choose not to. I am stuck here for three more nights due to family gathering for the holidays. Shame on the Flamingo.
