In December of last year My Dad, Mom and I went to Clay Cooley Nissan to look at a slightly used Nissan Versa because I had just totaled my brand new 2018 Mitsubishi Mirage G4 and unfortunately did not have rental on my insurance so I was without a car completely. We went there with the idea of just putting 2000 down on the car to hold until my Mitsu was cleared off my credit and my credit score would be up so I could then finance it. Upon arrival we were never even showed the used car because Brandon the car sales guy said he thought he could get me in a brand new one that day even though the other one hadn't cleared yet, so that's what we tried at first. After sitting there for almost five hours and please keep in mind that I am 45 and the only reason my parents are there is to help me with the down payment. My Dad is fighting spinal Cancer and had just had chemo that day and my is legally blind with no Drivers Licence. Finally Brandon comes back and says that he can't do it with just me on the loan until the other car is cleared off of my credit and that if just one of my parents would co-sign for a couple weeks until the car is off my credit that we could come back up there and they could refinance it no problem at all. So my Mom agrees to co-sign and we then wait another 2 hours and finally they come back with two papers, one for 600 a month with both of us and the other one with just my Mom for 386 a month. And then they told us again that it would only be for a couple weeks and they would get the car refinanced in my name. So we agreed to do it just in my Mom's name and then go back up there. So we wait another hour and a half and finally Mo the Finance Manager comes out with all the paperwork for my Mom to sign and as she is signing both her and my Dad ask Mo again if this is only for a couple weeks and he finally tells us the truth that no that would be impossible because it takes 6 weeks to get it through financing but he then promises that once we pay the first car payment that yes we can come up there and get the car refinanced in my name only. So after we left and stopped to get something to eat we all three just had a really bad feeling like we had just gotten completely screwed and and bamboozled so the next day I talked to one of my co-workers and they informed that they used to be a car sales manager and we definitely were screwed so I called back up there and talked to Customer Care Manager Carolyn and the GM Carey and Mo and asked if I could just take the car back and was told yes but that I would loose the 2000 we had put down on the car. Then of course we were promised again that they would be able to either get me on the loan or in another car but that they would make it right. So finally we went back up there after paying the first car payment and my Mom and I sat there for another 4 hours and Mo really did try to help me, he tried everything and cannot get any lender to approve me or me and my mom on any loan and the the company that we already have the loan with won't add me either. So now they want me to just stay stuck paying and driving my Mom's car because they can't do anything that they promised. at this point all i want them to do is buy the car back from my Mom so it is off here credit and I can be free to go back to Don Herring Mitsubishi who already has another bran new car waiting for me in JUST MY NAME at a payment i can afford. Don't understand why Clay Cooley cannot do that but they could at least make it right so i can go there and they are refusing. they are liars liars liars!!! Any help would really be appreciated.
