Liar, liar, liar

1

Ok, here’s what happened on our street. I honestly DO NOT want anybody else to experience this with ANY company!!!!!!! 4 people fell for Vivint’s ‘Too good to be true’ sales pitch. I’m only now totally involved after the fact..... I didn’t want anything to do with deciding because I know ZERO about truth or lies with the whole solar deal. Now, I’m just trying to see what, if anything, can be done. If nothing else, I’m learning and warning people to stay the heck away from Vivint. —contracts were signed in October 2018 -panels up in November — everyone went on line in March 2019 and everyone has received bills that are WAY higher than the Vivint sales rep said they would be. So months go by before you really realize how bad things can be. #1 neighbor didn’t say anything because she felt embarrassed and didn’t know what to do. She takes care of her elderly mom and is beyond scared of the next bill. She’s on a fixed income. #2 neighbor is 86 years old, and she actually cancelled within 3 days of signing but then the sales rep came back... told her she won a monetary drawing, but he could only give it to her if she had not cancelled...... yup, she signed again....And he told her ‘well, your neighbors have all signed up’. She now is nervous and also fears her next bill. The other 2 unfortunately just trusted the lying sales rep. Vivint, for These 4 families has been a very, very bad experience. I’m In touch with an attorney here in the state of California who is suing on behalf of quite a few clients, I have also reached out to the CA attorney generals office, and for my 86 year old neighbor I started a case with the county department that protects the elderly from ‘financial abuse’. Do not have any idea if there is any recourse but, well, there you go. That is our story. -my husband was given figures that were lies about any savings he would see. The sales rep, David M. Here in Woodcrest, Riverside told my husband that —Vivint removes, stores, and reinstalls panels all the time when a homeowner needs to reroof their home-at no cost LIAR. -he told my husband that Vivint made its money because people now paid Vivint for the energy they USE, and not their utility company. LIAR. - he told my husband that the contract was all legalese. LIAR. He told my husband that because of so much money available through the government for solar that the ‘system was free to the consumer’ LIAR. A $40,000 noose around one’s neck is not free. No one expected anything else except to save 20-30% off of what is paid to SCE. No one wanted free energy. ....... just beware out there everybody. Everyone in this scenario was basically told the same things and NOT told the same things. Calling Customer service and billing only results in being told something different on each and every phone call. It’s just beyond sad! Wishing New Mexico all the luck in the world against this good-for- nothing, sham of a company.
