LG OLED65C9 LG 65″ 4K OLED TV

I purchased an LG OLED65C9 LG 65" 4K OLED TV for £2, 299 from on 17th October 2019 - 18 months ago via Amazon, Order #[protected] The TV screen will not come on although there is power to the TV and the remote works ok and you can hear the TV respond with a click from the remote but the screen remains blank. I have already been in touch with LG the manufactures support team and they said it sounded like a faulty screen or possibly the main board but most likely the screen. I was told to contact Reliant Direct customer service who supplied the TV which I did but they said that the TV only has a 12 month warranty and to deal with LG the manufacturer. LG then told me I would have to deal with the retailer. I am quite appalled by this given the price I paid - £2, 300 and LG told me that I would have consumer rights protection if the retailer proved difficult to deal with, but in fact LG are being difficult to deal with. They have admitted that the fault is likely to be the screen and this is covered by their 5 year manufacturers warranty but they have refused to repair or replace it. I am fed up with being pushed from LG to the retailer Reliant Direct and back again and so would be very grateful if you could help. It is quite likely that the screen is faulty and this should come under the manufacturers warranty which is 5 years. This TV was LGs top of the range OLED TV only 18 months ago with a price tag of £2, 300 so one would expect it to last somewhat longer than this. Please can you help as I do believe I have statutory rights given the relative newness of the TV and the high cost of purchase.
