Legal Threats over my posts about my experience

1

I had a negative experience with this company. I had not decided to post on pissedconsumer.com until I received what appears to be a legal threat from the CEO of the Company... I'll explain a bit further, but my focus is on what I believe to be an attempt to silence my criticism via bogus legal threats I did call and express my dissatisfaction on at least 2 occasions and request a callback; I never received a call back but I did receive an email from the CEO stating that I could contact her directly... I did not attempt to call based on my previous attempts (after all, I already had 2 calls in which I asked for a call back). In a meeting that followed (that I understood to be a part of the whole program I paid for), I brought up another complaint about an invitation I received to attend a job fair. The link I found in the email sent to me led to a web page that mentions free access for students and veterans and makes the statement "VIP Access" without context, but the only mechanism to sign up appears to require a payment. At this point Shanon appeared upset and told me that I had been rude to several of her staff and that I would not receive and 'endorsement' from her (part of the "5 Star Candidate" that is apparently the reason to pay a premium price). As I stood up to leave, she at least had the courtesy to tell me "don't forget your jacket on the way out" (it may have been a jab, but I'll give her the benefit of the doubt). Like any person that has had a poor experience, I decided to take advantage of Facebook to share my experience with others. First a review including a summation of my experience, then later a response to a new posting by Shanon touting the (supposed) benefit of getting a HIPAA certificate as part of their program; my response including a mix of factual statement (as long as the New Mexico Health Department considers the trainer validate, then it's sufficient to meet the HIPAA certification requirement) and my own experience in asking some of the local businesses about their preference, that led me to conclude that my opinion was that cost being high and the quality of service low. Later on that same day (or it could have been the next), I received an email from the CEO asking me to 'cease and desist' or she would have her lawyer file a formal 'cease and desist'.
