I personally know why the workmanship is so poor. I was employed at skyline for many years. I NEVER received a raise. I did get raped every payday by getting paid 1/3 of my wages for my overtime and NEVER was paid for the 6 hours we worked from 6 to noon on Saturday mornings. That is why we had such a high turnover rate and only got the most desperate workers. Poor workmanship is built in to every Skyline home. The CEO Arthur J. Decio would NOT come to a factory if the workers were there. He considered us to be dirt under his feet. User's recommendation: Start a class action lawsuit if you bought a Skyline.
