In 2018, I hired Stanley Marshall to do work in my yard. I never met him so I would leave his check hidden outside as he demanded pay as you go. On June 4, 2019, I finally met him face to face. Immediately he started to flirt with me. At first I thought the flirting was just harmless play. He told me he has needs and I have needs. I asked how old he was. He told me he was 41 years old, a religious man, Southern Baptist, proclaiming Jesus Christ is his savior. I'm 61. I told him I'm too old for him. Between visits his flirtations became more intense. He called several times to tell me how much he missed me, he dreams about me, he can't get me off his mind, he prayed to god to repair my back injury. He said "all I ask is for a chance". Then I found out he's a married man. I told him there was no way I would sleep with a married man. June 12th, He just showed up unannounced after I just told him not to do that. He was wanting a "take of needs" arraignment. Said he would do my yard work and not charge me for it, be my super handy man around my house. I'm disabled! This was demeaning & disrespectful. He told me he'd never been with a white women... (I'm white). He took liberty by brushing his hand across my buttocks, a form of assault. He said "I could cuddle with them all day". When he I live alone, have no family here and have lost most all of my friends by either Cancer or relocation. He's a muscular man that I don't stand a chance protecting myself against. Confrontation was last thing I wanted so I made a slight comment on what he did. He said my neighbors are nosy and became somewhat paranoid about it but ask me to bring him in my house... I refused. To me, people would talk more if I brought him in my home. At least outside nothing was hidden. He told me a neighbor up my street went to the same church. I said aren't you worried he'll say something like your at that lady's house a lot... that when he left. I was relieved he was gone... no more badgering. Since this encounter, I haven't seen him at all. On June 27th, he told me his wife has CANCER. He promised to show up on July 2nd to complete the job but he was a no show. I called and left him a message and a text telling him he wasn't allowed back on my property. I was done with his games. At this point I don't believe anything that comes out of his mouth! I ran an online check on him and discovered he's really 56 years old. Surprisingly he responded on July 3rd and left a voice message pleading I return his call. I spoke with him later in the day. Again he promised he would come July 5th to finish the job. He was supposedly at Northside hospital and that he's been there a week. When I asked, "What type of Cancer does she have?" he responded "they don't know, they just know she has it." Really? Northside is a Cancer Treatment and Research Center. By the time you're at Northside, they know what type of Cancer you have. I'm having a hard time believe his wife has Cancer or that he even has a wife... I don't believe anything. As of today, July 5th, a second no show. My yard has not been touched in over 3 weeks. Meanwhile my gutter screens are falling off the gutters because they were not reinstalled correctly after cleaning the gutters, the downspouts still disconnected and full of gutter debris, a planter bed full of hedge clippings on top of the lava rock, a broken ceramic hanging planter with pieces in the grass they broke, patio chairs strummed around, downed trees that were to be cut and move to burn pile, power cord remnants just dropped in the yard, 5 Azaleas that were cut down completely without my permission, hanging vines cut and left to die, massive about of debris still everywhere you look and I several pf my garden decorations that have just disappeared. At this point, I want my $600.00 refunded so I can hire someone else to finish the job. Stanley Marshall fits the description of a Con Artist i.e. a swindler who exploits the confidence of his victim. He's MORALLY BANKRUPT, has NO INTEGRITY, UNTRUSTWORTHY, A PATHOLOGICAL LIAR, and a CHEAT. He's promised more than once he would finish. I'm disabled. He took advantage of the situation. The only reason I kept contacting him was to get the job done! Shame on him! I'm no push over... this is only the beginning! He's made his bed....
