lack of information – request refund
1
On Aug 30, I walked in the phone repair shop, I asked about screen replacement. When the Cellairis employee saw the crack, the he said something about water and how I should be careful with it. He told me it would cost 140USD to repair it and it would be ready in 20 min. I was suggested a screen protection to help in case I dropped the phone again. 20 min later, I went back to the shop and got my phone. I asked for a document and I was told the receipt would work as a warranty. I was never told anything about water other than what I mentioned above. I was never told about anything actually. I just collected the iPhone and left. When I went back to the store with the dead phone, 2 days later, then I was told that the screen replacement was good enough to protect my phone agains water splashes. As I told before, if warned about this, I would have never paid for the screen replacement, as it would be exactly the same as I had. That really small crack didn't affect anything other that taking the iPhone in the water or close to water. I took a few pictures in the water (I was in the water, not the phone) my hands were wet and when I left the beach my phone was in my not yet dry shorts. That is all the contact with water that killed my phone: wet hands and partially wet pocket. I repeat: If I was given the correct or full information I would have never paid for the screen replacement knowing how it wouldn't change anything regarding the way I could use my phone. The crack didn't affect at all the phone performance, the only limitation was water. I had to buy a new iPhone since that one died. I requested a refund concerning the repairing and the screen protection, nothing else. I had to buy a new iPhone because of bad customer service, but all I want is my money back from a bad repair service.
